    We are currently looking to recruit a Digital Marketing and Events Assistant in the Apprenticeship department, based in Central Exeter.

    This is an exciting opportunity for anyone wishing to kick-start a career in marketing, advertising, design, project management or events planning. You will be working in a dynamic and friendly work environment whilst also learning and gaining a qualification at the same time. We are keen to recruit an individual who has a genuine enthusiasm and aptitude for marketing.

    The role is multifaceted and will give you the opportunity to learn and develop a wide range of skills. You will have the opportunity to learn from experienced colleagues each day and will be encouraged to attend additional training in specific areas of marketing – in particular a basic design course (artworking).

    Day to day tasks could include writing social media posts, basic design, event organisation, liaising with external suppliers, assisting on photo and video shoots, copy writing, reporting, building email campaigns and website editing. You will also have the opportunity to work with your manager on the marketing strategy and creative planning, helping you to build a solid grounding in the use of marketing and how to apply it effectively.

    You will use a variety of tools and platforms, including Word, Excel and Outlook for general administrative tasks, through to InDesign, Photoshop and Hootesuite for more specific marketing activity.
